Sometimes the search for a wonderful couple to photograph isn't a search at all... A few months ago Lori and I were having a nice Valentine's dinner at Tre Cugini in downtown Grand Rapids, when our waiter mentioned that another employee at the restaurant was getting married soon. Erin came over to our table after dinner, introduced herself and picked up a business card. A few days later her wedding was booked and we were planning some engagement photos!

Among the details at the reception were a number of hand written letters from Mike to Erin while he was deployed. These are the things that generations cherish forever.
The next few images were taken during perhaps the most moving moment I've ever been witness to at a wedding. During the toasts, Mike's mom spoke about how before he went overseas in the armed forces, he had grown up with blue eyes. A full tour in the desert had faded them to an unfamiliar green, and as tears rolled down her cheeks, she said that it wasn't until Erin and Mike found each other that his eyes changed back... Erin's love had turned his green eyes back to blue! Amazing moment.
